Shakira caught Gerard Pique in an affair with another woman and has filed for divorce, according to El Periodico.
The defender who Shakira once called “the best center back in the world” is now living alone in a Barcelona apartment and is strolling the clubs with teammate Riqui Puig. According to the Spanish publication, the 35-year-old World Cup Champion is considered “untied” and “out of control.”
Pique bottles it again
The Columbian superstar met Pique in 2010 upon recording the music video for her song “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).” The song served as the official anthem of the 2010 World Cup. The former Spanish national team player makes a cameo in the video.
The couple has two kids, Milan (9) and Sasha (7).
Forbes once listed the two as the “World’s Most Powerful Couples” in 2013, alongside Michelle and Barack Obama, the once-married Melinda and Bill Gates, and Beyonce and Jay-Z.
