Mexican sportswear brand Charly has unveiled an exclusive kit celebrating one of Mexico‘s most iconic World Cup jerseys.
Mexico’s 1998 World Cup jersey was one of a kind. The predominantly green kit featured an Aztec-inspired print in which the “Sun Stone” took center stage. The striking graphic, polo collar, and cuffs with red trim have become a cult classic. It’s one of 433futbol’s favorite World Cup kits from the 1990s.
But Charly’s Aztec Heritage rendition is more than a kit. The brand is following up on Mexico’s Olympic uniforms for the 2024 Paris Olympics with another banger.

“The Heritage Jersey is here to honor Mexico’s rich history and culture,” says the brand on X.
“No club affiliation—just pure, proud Mexican heritage.”
Like its predecessor, the “Herencia Azteca ” adopts the rich green colorway and Aztec patterns, bridging the power between gods and mankind. The white and red-trimmed collar, minus the button, is also present. But Charly puts its stamp on its two ways.
Charly’s “C” logo takes over the original spot where the ABA Sport first appeared. The back of the jersey also showcases the brand’s name in full. The also flashes “MEXICO” in big, bold letters and “Hermoso Cariño” on the shirt’s bottom. The phrase is a poetic nod to the deep love and pride for the land and history of Mexico.
Charly dropped an equally classy all-black Azter Heritage kit as well.
