Inter Miami announced the loan signing of Tadeo Allende from Celta Vigo, adding another Argentine presence to a roster that’s grown increasingly South American in recent months.
Allende, 25 years old and originally from Mina Clavero, Argentina, arrives in Florida with a reputation for adaptability and a keen eye for goal. He began his professional career at Instituto Atlético Central Córdoba in 2021, logged 80 appearances at Godoy Cruz with 15 goals and seven assists, then moved to Spain in January for about $4.8 million. Celta Vigo’s coach, Claudio Giráldez, gave Allende limited minutes in La Liga and the Copa del Rey, which made this loan an attractive next step in the player’s development.
A versatile addition to Mascherano’s squad
Raúl Sanllehí, Inter Miami’s president of football operations, described Allende’s arrival as a move that provides “versatility” across the front line. “We’re pleased to bring in attacker Tadeo Allende to further strengthen our attack,” he said. “Tadeo’s versatility bolsters our options up front as he can perform in different positions across the pitch. We’re excited to bring him on board to help us compete in multiple competitions in 2025.” With Lionel Messi at the center of much of Miami’s recent success, Allende now has the chance to learn from one of football’s greatest while also forging his own path.
Although the exact details of the agreement haven’t been fully disclosed, the loan is set to run through the end of the 2025 MLS season, pending receipt of a P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate. It signals another bold push by Inter Miami, a club determined to make an impact in Major League Soccer, the Concacaf Champions Cup, and potentially the Club World Cup. Allende, who stands at six feet tall, brings physicality and composure in the box, traits that have drawn praise from coaches in Argentina and Spain.
The attacker himself expressed a sense of gratitude for this fresh start. “I’m honored to have the opportunity to join Inter Miami for an exciting new chapter in my career,” he said. “I’m happy to be here in South Florida, and I’m ready to give it my all to help the club achieve its objectives this upcoming season.” Inter Miami’s head coach, Javier Mascherano, has repeatedly emphasized that every addition to the squad should bring ambition and a competitive mindset. Allende seems to fit the bill, especially given his varied experience across two continents.
The next few weeks will reveal how quickly Allende adjusts to his new environment and how he complements Miami’s existing attackers. Preseason friendlies, along with the approaching MLS opener, should offer the first real glimpses of a player who’s eager to show he can thrive on a big stage.
