could be on the verge of signing another Paraguayan standout. 24-year-old Ramon Sosa enjoyed a breakout season for Argentinian Primer Division side Talleres.

The Premier League could be in for a treat as the , hailed as “the best winger in Argentine football” by his coach Walter Ribonetto, is potentially making his way to next season.

Paraguayan journalist Roberto Rojas reveals that the Argentine club is eyeing a significant $20 million deal, aiming to capitalize on their star after the Copa America this summer. This comes after Talleres turned down a $12 million bid from MLS side last January — that deal could’ve been the biggest transfer deal in the club’s history. Surely, the next offer will break it.

Newcastle is the likeliest destination for Sosa, who shares the same agent as Paraguayan and Magpies standout Miguel Almiron. However, the competition for his signature is fierce, with Manchester City Group, Everton, and Chelsea also vying for the talented winger. This intense competition reflects Sosa’s high value and potential in the transfer market.

While the youngster still needs to work on his finishing product, the dribbling, power, and pace are all there. Rosa, who scored eight goals and six assists in 32 appearances this season for second-place Talleres, isn’t going anywhere until after Copa America.

The sure-starter for has a point to prove to the national team, where he’s still looking to net his first goal. He’s garnered eight appearances to date.
