Atletico Madrid has canceled Mexican singer Danna Paola. And she’s got no one to blame but herself.

The artist was due to perform in this weekend’s half-time performance between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the iconic Madrid Derby. However, in an interview on Wednesday for the Spanish TV show La Revuelta, she declared herself a Madridista.

Paola revealed that her boyfriend is a big Los Blancos fan, and she’s followed suit. She even started singing the club’s anthem, “Hala Madrid y nada mĂĄs,” which celebrates its 10th Champions League title. For the record, La Revuleta’s host, David Broncando, is an Atletico fan.

“Why are you singing this?” asked Broncano.

“Because I’m a Real Madrid fan, why else?” responded the Mexican. I’m very excited because I’m going to see them for the first time.” Not so fast, unless she’s paying for the ticket to Metropolitano Stadium.

Paola also predicted a 1-2 win for her beloved club, with Valverde and Vini Junior on the scoresheet. Ouch, way to be subtle.

Paola’s Real Madrid loyalty cost her. But she’s bound to earn kudos with the Madrid faithful.
