Erling Haaland has formally inked a boot sponsorship agreement with Nike, bringing an end to the long-standing .

Throughout his career, Haaland has donned Nike cleats, although he had been without a specific boot endorsement for some time.

Nike Football declared “a new era of #9. @erlinghaaland is a Force of Nature,” on its Twitter page. Haaland’s previous deal with the sportswear giant expired in January 2022.

The new deal is worth around $24 million per year, according to The Athletic. That is double ‘s lucrative $12 million per year boot deal with Puma.

Puma and Adidas also actively competed to secure the Norwegian’s signature. The striker went back and forth between those cleats growing up as well. But it was Nike who wooed the 22-year-old goal machine back to its brand.

Haaland joins elite footballers and as part of Nike Football.

The young attacker hopes to return to the pitch during Saturday’s clash against Liverpool.

He’d been in exceptional form for City before picking up a groin strain prior to the international break, amassing an impressive nine in his last three matches across all competitions.
