After demanding a move away from Tottenham last summer, it appears that Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen may finally get his wish.
According to Calciomercato, Inter Milan are leading the race to sign Eriksen. However, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is adamant that the player, whose contract expires in the summer, can only leave if another club can meet a £20m base price for the Dane’s services.
“I think I know his future because his communication with me is completely open and honest and we trust each other,” admitted Mourinho.
“The only thing I can tell you is that I know his future but I am not going to be the one to speak about his future.
“It has to be him to speak about his future when he makes the decision to speak about his future, not me.”
Manchester United, PSG, and Juventus are also keen to sign the Spurs wantaway but may wait to see if they can get the star on a free transfer in six months time.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has produced 10+ assists in four consecutive Premier League seasons with the Lilywhites, a feat only achieved by none other than David Beckham.
Eriksen also played an instrumental role in the North London’s side run all the way to the Champions League final last season.
