Manchester United unveiled their 2024/25 season home kit to much acclaim. The kit pays homage to the shirt worn by the famous “Busby Babes” from 1952-57, designed to glimmer from the stadium lights.
The new Adidas kit adopts similar reflective materials to make the shirt pop. The colorway intermixes a diverse array of red, growing darker hues from top to bottom. The upshot is a “a unique glow effect,” described by the German kit manufacturer, which mimics the shiny, smooth synthetic Rayon texture of the past.
Meanwhile, a thick crimson stripe aligns the side of the kit and traverses down into the white shorts. Three white Adidas stripes emerge from the round collar along the shoulders to the cuffs.
The new front-of-shirt sponsor, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, replaces Team Viewer. Snapdragon (Qualcomm) will pay £60m annually under the three-year deal.
Red Devils youngsters Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Kobbie Mainoo feature in the kit announcement, mimicking the trio’s goal celebration last season.
