Images of Newcastle‘s new 23/24 home kit have leaked online.
Crafted by Castore, the kit harks back to the kit the Magpies wore from 1983 to 1986. That’s when the Magpies donned the classic Umbro jersey with a blue Newcastle Brown Ale logo centered.
Newcastle United 23-24 Home Kit
The black and white stripes, strongly associated with Newcastle United, are again reemphasized in the latest home 23-24 shirt. The thick stripes continue down the shoulders into the back.
The shirt also takes on a black/white striped V-shaped collar with sleeves to match the look. The crest over the heart aligns with the Castore logo on the right chest. Note that this could be Newcastle’s last season with Castore as kit supplier before rejoining Adidas to start the 24/25 season.
The most notable edit, though, is the new sponsor. Last year’s sponsor, Fun 88, somewhat atrociously stood out on the middle of the kit in blue.
This year’s edit is far cleaner, with the new sponsor Sela, a Saudi events services brand, blending their logo into the black and white kit.
So far, the Toon Army rates the new home shirt highly unlike the Saudi-inspired away kit last season.
“Leaked Newcastle home kit for some reason I really like it 7/10 in my opinion,” said one fan.
“Sponsor is a bit meedy but at least it blends in with the top,” tweeted another.
Newcastle fans — are you excited to see the new kit in action in the Premier League and Champions League next season?
