The dismissal is, of course, is unsurprising given that Nike were merely reiterating their stance from January last year when the player was facing rape charges.

The club, however, is still ruminating over Greenwood’s future — his $92,000-a-week contract expires in June 2025.

“Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped. The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete,” said United.
