Amadou Onana is having a ball getting back at that reporter’s gaffe this summer.

During , the Belgian midfielder brushed off a reporter who mistakenly called him ‘Andre.’ Coincidentally, Amadou shares the same notable surname as Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana, who joined Manchester United last summer.

“Andre is not even my name, mate. You know what I mean. Go on…” an annoyed Onana told the reporter. The catchphrase went viral, with Onana’s switch from French to British English adding to the charm.

On Monday, the Belgian midfielder decided to have fun with the media mishap upon returning to for international duty. He wore the witty tagline in bold letters on a sleeveless t-shirt.

Onana transferred to Champions League-bound this summer after a stellar season with . and Chelsea previously tried to sign Onana in the last January window.

Onana has scored two goals in just three games this term for the Villains, equalling his output for the Toffees last season. He’s certainly doing his job, unlike that reporter.

“And a journalist, that’s your job, to kind of know my name, or how to say it or pronounce it or whatever. So yeah, I really had to let him know,” he previously stated.
