Sadio Mane is no longer an eligible bachelor. The Senegalese winger married his longtime girlfriend, Aisha Tamba, last week.
The wedding ceremony took place in Keur Massar, Senegal, just outside the bustling capital city of Dakar.
Mane, a role model beyond football
Mane lives a private and humble life despite his millions. The Al-Nassr star currently earns $43.3m a season (£830,000 per week) tax-free, easily topping his $21 million salary at Bayern Munich contract last season.
Two days ago, Mane extended his helping hand again by opening up a new mini stadium, State De Bambali, in his hometown. The venue is on top of the public hospital and secondary school he’s already funded in Bambali years past.
“Why would I want 10 Ferraris, 20 diamond watches, or two planes? What will these objects do for me and for the world?
“I was hungry, and I had to work in the field; I survived hard times, played football barefooted, I did not have an education and many other things, but today with what I win thanks to football, I can help my people,” he once said.
Humble Mane still carries around a cracked iPhone.
The timing for Mane’s wedding couldn’t be better. He’ll now head off to the Ivory Coast to help Senegal defend their AFCON title.
