Tottenham’s is set to be out until March with a torn hamstring.

The star forward suffered the injury at Southampton in the Spurs loss to the Saints on New Year’s Day.

“I don’t think we’re going to have good news. I think we’re going to lose him for some period…I’m totally convinced of that,” Spurs boss said prior to the club’s official announcement.

The injury comes at an inopportune time for Mourinho’s side, who face Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea in their next six Premier League matches.

How will Spurs fare without Kane?

Only two players — Alan Shearer (145) and Sergio Aguero (138) — have scored more than Harry Kane (136) in their first 200 matches.

In the last six Premier League matches without their star striker, Spurs have earned only five points and score four goals despite attempting 80 shots. They will miss Kane’s marksmanship dearly.

However, Spurs are in search for a temporary replacement in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Paco Alcácer on loan.

Alcácer is looking for an exit given Dortmund’s newest signature Erling Haaland. The Spaniard’s 18 goals last year, mostly off the bench, will fill Spurs fans with hope as a dependable temporary replacement in Kane’s absence.
