This scene might be the ultimate “calma calma” situation. Barcelona defender Inigo Martinez sent shivers down the spine of one fan after he decided to pull over his Range Rover to teach the kid a lesson.
The confrontation took place on Monday after a Blaugrana practice. Fans typically gather outside the club’s training center, Ciutat Esportiva, to snag player pictures and autographs.
But some other opportunistic fans are looking to ridicule footballers for social media fame, such as this young kid. The teenager, a purported Real Madrid fan, allegedly called the player a fool in a prior viral video, which Martinez never forgot. The next El Clasico takes place on April 21 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spaniard had enough
“The last time you called me a fool, did you hear me? The last time you called me a fool, the last time you insult me. And your friend the same. I’ll warn you,” dictated the former Athletic Bilbao man. Martinez signed for the Catalan giants last summer on a free transfer.
The Spanish center-back admonished the fan upon getting back into his ride: “Don’t be cocky.”
Martinez has made 19 appearances for Xavi‘s side this season, with mixed performances. The player expects to move on over the summer.
Also, kid, pull your pants up.
