Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette may be on his out of the Emirates this summer, according to Calciomercato.

With one year left on his contract, the French striker has decided that he wants a new challenge abroad, forcing his agent to push for a move to Barcelona or Juventus. Atletico Madrid are also interested in the star, having tried to snatch the player in a swap deal last year.

The Gunners are still keen on Lacazette signing a new contract. Arteta revealed last week that more “discussions about Lacazette's contract will happen soon.” However, negotiations over a new deal remain unlikely as Lacazette refuses to receive a lower salary.

Given the financial difficulties caused by COVID-19, Arsenal may be ready to capitalize and snatch the €15-20m transfer fee. In offloading Lacazette, Arteta could promote Gabriel Martinelli and reinvest the funds in younger talent.

How is Lacazette faring this season?

Lacazette, who turns 30 in May, is having an inconsistent season at Arsenal. But so is the entire club, still stuck in 10th place in the Premier League.

Lacazette finished with more than a dozen Premier League in his first two seasons, including ten assists during the 2018/19 period. He's scored nine goals in 23 Premier League matches this season and registered two assists.

Would Lacazette be a fit at Juventus or Barcelona?

A proven scorer, Lacazette could fair well at Barcelona as an alternative to Martin Braithwaite. Juventus could also use a new frontman to bolster their attack — the Turin side will get an extra €10.5M bonus if they qualify in tomorrow's Champions League. However, a move to Atletico appears less likely as continues to be in superb form as La Liga's joint top leading goalscorer.
