The Twitter feud between Coleen Rooney and is finally over.

Rebekah Vardy, the wife of Leicester striker , has lost her libel case against Coleen Rooney, wife of former Manchester United star .

The two footballers' wives got into a public feud in October 2019 when Coleen shared an infamous Tweet accusing the fellow WAG of sharing “false stories” about her private life to The Sun.

Vardy subsequently responded by suing Rooney for libel in the lengthy trial known as the “WAGatha Christie” case.

“Wagatha Christie” drama comes to a conclusion (finally)

The viral court trial, which started last May and lasted nine days, finally came to a conclusion earlier today. Mrs. Justice Steyn of London's High Court ruled that, given the evidence, it was “likely” that Rebekah's former agent, Caroline Watt, “undertook the direct act” of passing screenshots and the other information to the Sun.

Said the ruling: “In my judgment, the conclusions that I have reached as to the extent to which the claimant engaged in disclosing to The Sun information to which she only had access as a permitted follower of an Instagram account which she knew, and Mrs Rooney repeatedly asserted, was private, suffice to show the single meaning is substantially true.”

Rebekah, who claims to have suffered public scrutiny over Rooney's tweet, still proclaims her innocence — her legal team refuses to acknowledge “where this information came from.”

Now that the feud between the two footballers' wives is over, we can focus on important matters.
