stood at the center of ‘s latest milestone, unveiling a fresh kit that signals a new age for the national team. After a 27-year run with another brand, the Portuguese Football Federation began 2025 by introducing Puma as its new partner.

Fans who have followed Ronaldo’s staggering career wonder if this will be his last shirt for his country. He has hinted that the 2026 might be his final campaign, which lends a sense of gravity to this launch.

Puma’s bold new redesign

In a brighter shade of red, the new home jersey reflects a nod to tradition with its minimalist Quinas emblem on the chest. A delicate mix of green and off-white around the collar and cuffs gives the design some flair.

Ronaldo, who has donned countless kits since his debut, now finds himself in a uniform meant to spark a fresh spark. Puma’s Senior Director of Product Line Management Performance Apparel, Marco Mueller, said, “We are very proud to unveil the first-ever PUMA Portugal Home and Away kits for both the men’s and women’s teams. We are thrilled to partner with one of the most exciting national teams in the world and create products that resonate with the incredible passion, culture, and history of Portugal.”

On the other side, the away jersey frames white as its base, splashing red and green dots across the torso in an innovative pattern still grounded in national symbols. The women’s versions add soft mint to the mix, embracing distinct touches like a differently styled collar and lower sleeve blocks.

FPF’s Chief Marketing Officer, Nuno Moura, described the jerseys as “not just uniforms, they are a celebration of creativity, excellence, and unity.” The kits will be available in both authentic and replica forms, with the former utilizing Puma’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric for a lighter feel that’s meant to ease on-field performance. Replica editions opt for a more relaxed fit and use at least 95% recycled materials, echoing Puma’s broader sustainability efforts.

This shift in kit suppliers comes at a time when Portugal finds itself balancing reverence for the past with excitement for the future. Ronaldo’s career might be winding down, but these shirts mark a new dawn. They showcase bold design choices, a sustainable edge, and a renewed vision that will carry the Seleção toward the next World Cup and beyond.
