A sky-blue Arsenal kit? That doesn't seem to jibe with the Gunners' traditional red and white colors. But according to @TheGunnersWay on platform X, the alleged third kit next season will adopt the primary color worn by Premier League rivals Manchester City.
The leaked kit is 80% likely to be the North London side's jersey next seasonâ@TheGunnersWay has a good history of predicting forthcoming shirts. The sky blue is a bizarre choice, given Arsenal's slip-up to Premier League title-winners City last year. This 23/24 term is shaping up similarly, with Arsenal just a point ahead of Guardiola's side with ten games left. Klopp's Liverpool are tied for first, looking to eke it out. Â
As you can see, the blue kit colorway soaks in a hint of purple on the sides. However, what also manifests is the logo change: the Arsenal cannon goes minimal and stands adjacent to the Adidas trefoil logo. The Gunners employed the trefoil emblem, which features three rounded leaves, on the 1986 to 1994 kits, including the cult classic ‘Bruised Banana' shirt.
Adidas plans to replicate the trefoil design in European heavyweights Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Man United kits next season. The German brand is already reintroducing the classic 1970s logo on some of its recent Messi sportswear releases.
Arsenal fans are visibly upset about the third kit because of the use of Man City's home colors.
“Arsenal third kit 24/25 leaked. Thoughts gooners? Not the biggest fan of it myself,” commented one.
Another fan shared, “We should stick to our mustard yellow/deep navy blue, gold and navy blue, or blue away and third kits.”
Some others mentioned that they “love it” and that it “looks good, beautiful.”
Should Arsenal win the league after a twenty-year wait this season, fans won't mind the release. However, another end-of-season capitulation might see fans boycott the blue kit.
