Adidas and Liverpool have reunited with a bang. After more than a decade apart, the club’s new 2025–26 kits strip things back to what matters: clean design, bold tradition, and an unmistakable sense of identity.
The home shirt is drenched in what Adidas calls “Strawberry Red,” a rich, unmistakable hue that echoes the kits of the mid-2000s. Gone are the geometric pinstripes and yellow trims of last season. In their place: crisp white cuffs, minimalist collars, and the iconic three stripes resting gently on the shoulders. It’s a shirt that looks like it belongs to a team defending a title.
Launched simultaneously with the away kit, in a rare move due to the transition from Nike, the release marked Adidas’ official return. The away jersey plays it cooler, opting for a shade called “Wonder White” with black and red trim. No abstract prints, no visual noise. Just a sharp, understated contrast that lets the football do the talking.
A fresh face in a legendary shirt
There was one other subtle detail hidden in the kit launch: Florian Wirtz will wear Liverpool’s No. 7 shirt.
It’s a number with weight. Keegan. Dalglish. Suárez. Milner. The names that have carried it are legends. Wirtz, Liverpool’s record signing at £116 million, now inherits that pressure and promise. The German playmaker was already seen as the crown jewel of this summer’s transfer window. The No. 7 shirt confirms it.
That move ties neatly into the club’s visual reset. Wirtz debuted in pre-season friendlies wearing a placeholder number, but the reveal of his real squad number alongside the new kits makes a statement: Liverpool are building their next era around tradition, and around him.
With Arne Slot’s side preparing to defend their Premier League title, there’s something fitting about the tone of these kits. They’re not flashy, they’re not loud. They’re composed. So is Wirtz. If all goes to plan, both the player and the shirt he wears could come to define what’s next at Anfield.
The kits are available now through the LFC Store and official Adidas channels.
