Inter Miami expects to unveil their newest signing Lionel Messi in an epic TV broadcast on Sunday.

The club is working with both Fox and Univision to interrupt their broadcast of the Gold Cup Final for a special interlude dubbed “The Unveil” on Sunday night.

That is when the GOAT, Lionel Messi, expects to debut for the Herons against Cruz Azul in the 2023 Leagues Cup.

The Leagues Cup pits all the top clubs from MLS and Liga MX for a month-long tournament from July 21 to August 19, 2023.

The Champion and seven-time winner signed a whopping $60 million per year deal at Miami. And that excludes the many more millions he’ll receive as part of commercial tie-ins with and Apple.

The legendary Lionel Messi takes center stage in “The Unveil”

The unveiling of one of the greatest players of all time, Lionel Messi, expects to be an epic event. The league has come a long way since David Beckham appeared for the LA Galaxy fifteen years ago. The Englishman negotiated ownership of a future MLS club team as part of the historic deal.

Now, Becks will welcome the latest superstar to the league as one of his own. The Inter Miami co-owner has wasted no time making “The Unveil” a massive event.

Yesterday, Victoria Beckham shared a video of a Lionel Messi mural in the works in downtown Miami.

Can Messi revive the struggling Florida club?

36-year-old Messi arrives at a critical time for the club, who recently fired coach Phil Neville after a string of poor results. Last month, the team hired former and national team coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino as its new boss.

Inter Miami also plans to pair Messi with former FC Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets for Sunday’s game. The former Barcelona captain and Spain international departed Barcelona at the end of last season.

Both players will headline “The Unvevil,” which includes on-field speeches and entertainment by Bad Bunny. The game itself is available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

The two players should combine to get Miami back to winning ways, at least out from the bottom of Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference.
