It looks like Paul Pogba may be staying at Manchester United, after all. The Red Devils have offered their French star a newly proposed salary of £400k per week that would keep in until 2025.

If accepted, Pogba would become United's highest-paid player nipping 's £375,000 weekly wage.

The 28-year-old already snubbed the club's £350,000-per-week long-term contract offer back in July. Pogba's agent, , was using interest from PSG, Juventus, and Liverpool as “hot tickets” to force United's hand. Well, it worked.

Can United keep their star man?

It appears that Pogba is still not in a major rush to accept a new deal. PSG is also hoping to pick up Pogba on a free transfer next summer. The Parisians are promising the midfielder higher wages of £510k per week if he continues to snub Old Trafford.

Manchester United will be desperate to keep their star man, especially after his record-breaking four assists in last week's Premier League kickoff.

“That's negotiations with Paul's representatives and the club. We're working together now,” said boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær on Pogba's contract.

Reports seem to indicate that Pogba also likes the direction United is going under the Norwegian coach.

Pogba's international teammate, , also joined the club this summer.
