Phil Foden's son Ronnie is the talk of social media, gaining 1 million Instagram followers in 14 hours. That's already more than three of Arsenal's star players.
The blond-haired pre-schooler ballooned to stardom after celebrating Manchester City's treble with his creative, left-footed midfielder dad.
“El wey has arrivedđ,” reads baby Foden's first post featuring father and son following the victory in Istanbul. “El wey” or “The Dude” is the nickname City fans gave the charming little one.
Charismatic Ronnie becomes an internet sensation
Foden's City teammates Nathan Ake, Ederson, and Rico Lewis shared their thoughts on the photo. Fan replies bordered on the ridiculous and remarkable, “Has touched more trophies than harry kane,” commented one. “We all love El Wey,” said another.
Even before the locker-room celebrations with buddy Erling Haaland, which made the youngster go viral, he was a hit sensation in South America. There's a picture of the charismatic youngster looking over a classroom in Mexico.
After posting a series of images and videos to Instagram stories of the youngster enjoying a well-deserved vacation, Dad and Mom uploaded another picture of Ronnie with City legend Sergio Aguero. The caption reads, “A day I will always remember đ.”
Clearly, Ronnie's influencer status is a great fallback should his footballing career not pan out like Dad's.
