Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba to Real Madrid? Gareth Bale to Manchester United? Catch up on the latest transfer rumors in world football. Updated daily.
Paul Pogba – > Real Madrid
“Paul loves playing for this club, he’s a Man United boy through and through and he knows what it means to play for Manchester United,” said coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back in December. That was until Zinedine Zidane returned to Los Blancos in early March. During the last international break later that month, Paul Pogba stated that “Real Madrid would be a dream to play for.”
While the French midfielder is reportedly happy at Old Trafford despite a dip in form, his future still remains uncertain. According to magazine Don Balón, Real Madrid could snag the star in exchange for Gareth Bale. We’ll chew on this speculation until we hear more.
Jadon Sancho – > Manchester United, PSG, Real Madrid
18-year-old English starlet Jadon Sancho is attracting interests from an array of clubs including Paris St. Germain and Manchester United. The Red Devils want to make the youngster the first £100 million English footballer. While a bidding competition between the two clubs raises the stakes for Sancho, Borussia Dortmund is apparently still set on keeping the winger who’s already scored eight goals and racked up ten assists in 25 Bundesliga matches.
Update: According to German tabloid Bild, Zidane is interested in acquiring Sancho for £180 million. The deal would make Sancho one of the most expensive transfers in history, on par with Kylian Mbappe.
Eden Hazard – > Real Madrid
The star striker Eden Hazard is set to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer despite the club’s transfer ban which only applies to the team’s signings, not sales. The deal seems even more likely given that Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez has guaranteed newly reappointed coach Zinedine Zidane the funds to spend on marquee players like Hazard, who’s also a big admirer of Zizou. When questioned about his future, Hazard responded: “I am not thinking on that right now. I want to shine with Chelsea for a few months and try to win the Europa League. This week I think about Belgium and then back to Chelsea. Then we’ll see.”
What can Chelsea do to convince the Belgian star to stay this time?
Paulo Dybala – > Liverpool, Manchester United
The 25-year-old Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala has been linked to both Liverpool and Manchester United. According to Tutto Mercato, Jurgen Klopp is looking to strengthen the team’s offensive arsenal this summer and could make a deal in the next couple of weeks. Manchester United are also keen to snatch up the Argentinian to potentially replace Romelu Lukaku who’s considering an exit from Old Trafford.
Nicknamed “The Jewel” for his unique playmaking and scoring abilities, Dybala has scored 77 goals in four years for the Turin side. However, the arrival of Ronaldo means that Dybala is no longer a guaranteed starter.
Samuel Umtiti – > Arsenal
The World Cup winner Samuel Umtiti appears to be one of Arsenal’s main targets over the summer to help replace an aging backline. According to The Independent, Barcelona plans to offload the Frenchman for a hefty sum between €70 million to €90m to make wages available for Pique replacement Matthijs De Ligt. Umtiti has made only ten appearances with the Catalans this year, hampered by nagging knee problems which saw him fall back of the pecking order behind Clement Lenglet.
James Rodriguez – > Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool
After a successful two-year loan with Bayern Munich, the Colombian international is set to pen the permanent €35m option with Bavarian side. Otherwise, Real Madrid will reportedly place a €50m price tag on the midfielder for other suitors, including Liverpool and Manchester United.
Sadio Mane – > Real Madrid
Rumors are swirling on a potential swap deal between Real Madrid and Liverpool. Los Blancos want to offer defender Raphael Varane to lure the Reds to the negotiating table over the release of in-form Sadio Mane. The Senegalese winger is apparently on Zidane’s wishlist of transfer targets over the summer, especially if the skipper fails to land Eden Hazard. Mane has been on a tear lately, scoring eleven goals in the last eleven games, including this doozy in the Champions League.
He's in such good form. There's no way Mane would leave #Liverpoolfc for @realmadrid right? 😉 pic.twitter.com/XxCIFbaDV5

Isco – > Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, & Juventus
Word on the street is that Isco has attracted interest from Premier League sides Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool. And Real president Florentino Perez is ready to sell him. However, the Spanish attacking midfielder may see a revival underneath the newly reappointed Zinedine Zidane for the remainder of the season.
Kylian Mbappe – > Real Madrid
The 20-year-old French sensation Kylian Mbappe is speculated to be part of Zidane’s £300m spending spree this summer. “Like any good player, I would be happy to coach him,” said Zidane in a recent press conference. With PSG crashing out of the Champions League and Mbappe looking to add more silverware to his already impressive trophy chest, a move looks probable.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer – > Manchester United
Ever since he restored Sir Alex Ferguson DNA into Manchester United, there’s been plenty of excitement from both fans and players alike to back Solskjaer for the permanent head coaching job. The Red Devils face Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League; moving on to the semis would certainly give Solskjaer the stamp of approval he needs from above to tie him down to a long-term deal.
Update: Ole’s is officially at the wheel!
Gareth Bale – > Manchester United
Gareth Bale has been out of favor with Los Blancos, coming off the bench for most of the 2018/19 season. While future suitors include Manchester United, Zidane’s return as head coach could lend Bale a lifeline to prove his importance once again. However, given that the four-time Champions League winner was already at loggerheads with Zidane in the previous campaign, an exit back to the Premier League would come as no surprise. Said the Frenchman: “Nobody can take away what he has done. We know he can bring a lot to the team, and we will count on him. We are going to play these 10 games [the last 10 of the season], and then we will see. That does not mean that, afterwards, there will be changes.”
