Mexico is set to debut its new home and away 2024 Copa America this Thursday when it takes on Panama in the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final.
The new Mexico home jersey is a work of art. The dazzling feathers of a peacock inspire its dark ruby-red pattern. The crest and Adidas logo, along with the three stripes flanking the shoulders, are colored in iridescent green.
On the back of the neck resides the feathered serpent god Quetzalcoatl, a prominent deity in Aztec and other Mesoamerican cultures.
Fortunately, we may not have to wait too long to see Mexico’s other shirt in action. El Tri will likely feature the away shirt in the upcoming Nations League Finals on Sunday, March 24, which could see Mexico line up against arch-rivals in the United States or Jamaica.
Mexico’s 2024 Copa America away kit also blends intriguing historical patterns. Various geometric designs of muted greys and greens spread throughout the shirt, mimicking ancient Mesoamerican structures’ complex stonework and pyramid forms.
The Adidas emblem and the updated eagle insignia of Mexico introduce a deeper green color, further enhancing the kit’s appeal.
We are big fans of Mexico’s 2024 Copa America kits. How would you rate these against the new USMNT home and away versions?
