Grime MC Stormzy has partnered with to launch the new Merky FC Predator boot. The limited edition shoe is built onto the new Adidas Predator 24, which features the classic foldover tongue in bright yellow labeled with #MerkyFC — also on the outsole.

South Londoner and midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe featured alongside fellow Women's Gunner in the promotion. Both players will don the boots in a future match.

Stormzy also dropped a video on Instagram to celebrate the launch.

“From our glittering past, we look to the future,” the musician gleams with pride before he unveils the boot. “Bright, powerful, clinical. Destined to become an icon.”

Speaking more specifically about the boot launch, he says, “As someone who has always been a huge football fan it's always been a dream to have my own boot – especially a Predator.

“This is about giving people a way to get involved in #Merky FC  – from representing what it stands for on the pitch, to directly supporting future ambitions through the donation from the sale of each pair, and I want to see people wearing it with pride.”

The shoe's introduction coincides with Stormzy's new multi-purpose complex in Croydon, South London, called Merky FC HQ. The center offers London's local youths access to football pitches, recording, and gaming.

The exclusive Predator boots will be available in retail on May 14. Proceeds will support Merky FC headquarters' efforts to promote diverse representation in football.
