According to Tuttosport, Tottenham are considering a bid to swap Christian Eriksen for in the January window.

Eriksen previously expressed his interest in moving away from north London to Real Madrid after last season but never got the call. “I wish I could decide just like in Football Manager, but unfortunately I can’t,” said Eriksen.

Spurs were also interested in signing Dybala from Juventus for £80 million over the summer but failed to agree to a deal.

Which team gets the better deal?

The potential swap deal may work out well for both teams, especially Tottenham. The Danish playmaker refuses to sign a new contract and would leave on a free transfer in the summer. Tottenham, however, would lose one of its crucial offensive providers in Eriksen who notched 86 assists and 67 strikes since his arrival in 2013.

Meanwhile, Dybala is still playing second fiddle due to the arrival of Ronaldo. The Argentine has only played a total of 14 minutes this season under new boss Maurizio Sarri.

Alternatively, Juventus could still hold on to Dybala for a summer sale to Tottenham, Manchester United, or PSG and snatch Eriksen on a pre-contract deal come January.

Should the Spurs and Juventus swap discussions continue, rest assure that the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester United and other European super clubs will be looking to scupper any deal.
