Romelu Lukaku shared some angry words directed toward his teammate Nicolo Barella during the draw away on Monday night.
What happened?: Late in the first half of yesterday evening’s Serie A fixture at Sampdoria’s stadium, Lukaku grew frustrated at his teammate Nicolo Barella for complaining after the team lost possession in the midfield. The 26-year-old Italian can be seen throwing his hands in the air. Lukaku became noticeably angry at Barella’s negative attitude.
What was said: The Belgian forward mocked Barella’s behavior before shouting at him: “Don’t do that, enough with these arms! Do not do that! It’s not good, it’s insulting, now stop!” The Italian responded with a stream of invective: “F* you, son of a b*h!”
What happened next: The Nerazzurri boss Simone Inzaghi tried to play down the spat, saying that “these things happen on the pitch, they shouldn’t happen and I don’t like to see them. But they were sat together during the break and are great friends. Obviously, these are incidents I don’t want to see.” Inter remains second in Serie A, 15 points behind league leaders Napoli.
