French President Emmanuel Macron remains convinced that will join the French team at the this summer.

That’s despite the French forward’s hectic summer schedule, which includes the kicking off on June 14 and his potential unveiling at Real Madrid later in July, pending ‘s tournament progression.

The Champions League final, in which Mbappe’s PSG and Real Madrid are still in contention, also presents a scheduling issue. The final occurs at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 1, in what could be Mbappe’s last game for the Parisians. He says, should he face Real Madrid as the send-off, so be it.

“I have the dream of winning the Champions League for Paris,” Mbappé told the press after scoring a brace to help his club defeat Barcelona on Tuesday. “I’m proud to be at PSG since the first day. It’s not because there are good times and bad times that my pride takes a hit. The pride of playing for this club, of representing the club of the capital of my country, it’s something special for me who grew up there.

“To experience an evening like this one as a Parisian, it’s great. We have one more step to go before we reach the final in Wembley, so we need to stay calm.”

Can Macron woo Mbappe to the Paris Olympics?

Last February, Macon invited Mbappe to join the Emir of Qatar at Elysee Palace for a special dinner. The French president intends to convince France’s biggest star to join the Paris Games to enhance the country’s image.

Mbappe, a proud Parisian, has previously expressed interest in snatching Gold for France this summer. After all, the 25-year-old has his sights set on winning the this year — winning the Champions League, Euros, and the Olympics could obviously boost his candidacy.

“I have always had the same ambition. I have always said that I wanted to go [to the Olympics] but it doesn’t depend on me,” Mbappe said ahead of France’s friendly against Germany last March.

Macron, meanwhile, continues to put on the charm offensive to convince Mbappe’s future club (Real Madrid 😉) to give the go-ahead. Los Blancos are only allowing their players to participate in either the Euros or Olympics this summer, but not both.

Macron told reporters on Tuesday, “I think that European clubs need to play the game so that we can put on a great show.”

“When I said European clubs that is what I meant. The players need to think about it when they consider their preparations and training sessions, because we have the Euros — I hope that we will be playing on July 14 [the date of the Euros final].

“I haven’t spoken with him [Mbappé] but I hope that his club in particular lets him.”

So, Kylian, no pressure.
