Nostalgic fans wanting Bayern Munich’s ‘70s long-sleeve home kit may finally get their hands on one. Originals is remaking and releasing the famous 1970s jersey before the holiday season.

The Bavarian giants dominated the 1970s in an iconic long-sleeve all-red colorway from Adidas. The ace kit matched the team’s aesthetic beauty on the pitch. Led by team captain and deadly strike duo Gerd Muller and Uli Hoeness, Bayern Munich steamrolled through three consecutive European Cups and four Bundesliga titles.

Adidas Originals Bayern Munich 1970s kit remake retains the simplicity of the original. In addition to the vibrant red colorway and round white collar, the 2023/24 version clings onto the three stripes running down the shoulders to the white cuffs.

Unlike the club crests, which take prominence today on the front of , the “adidas” sponsorship takes center stage. The club’s name is spelled out in full as “Bayern München” on the back. Footy Headlines reports that Adidas released a similar-looking shirt in 2014 when Guardiola was at the helm.

The new Adidas Originals FC Bayern home kit comprises 63% cotton and 37% recycled polyester. You can get it on Bayern Munich’s exclusive Adidas store for $110. Stay tuned to whether Adidas plans to re-release the red shorts and socks that completed the kit.
