Neymar is adding one more unique look to his arsenal of haircuts. The Al-Hilal and Brazil star decided that now is the time to go with a clean-shaven head.
The 31-year-old is back in Brazil recuperating from an extensive ACL injury. Neymar picked up the ligament damage on international duty last October.
Neymar's Saudi club deregistered the $161 million per year forward to make way for further international signings during the winter transfer window. Al-Hilal, one of the most successful Saudi sides, looks to continue its predominance at the top of the table.
Head coach Jorge Jesus is in the running for a left-back. Fellow Brazilian Ayrton Lucas tops the list with Aston Villa defender Lucas Digne. Al-Hilal missed out on former Barcelona standout Jordi Alba who joined Lionel Messi at Inter Miami last summer.
Neymar makes another fashion statement during ACL recovery
Neymar is never one to shy away from trying something new. He previously adopted a shaved head look while with Barcelona during the MSN heyday.
But this time around, he's nearly bald. âNew look!â shared the player on his Instagram feed â Ney has the second-coming of fashionisto David Beckham who popularized various football haircuts.
Perhaps more surprisingly was Neymar's mustache accompanying the fresh cut. âneymar please delete the story and your **moustache,â tweeted one fan. Some proclaimed the stash looked photoshopped onto the player's face. Gone are the days when he couldn't even grow one.
Let's see how long Neymar, who's partner Bruna Biancardi gave birth to their first child, can keep the mustache on the books before returning to the Middle East.
