Ecuador is celebrating a century of football with new kits highlighting the nation’s past and future. Designed and produced by Marathon Sports, these jerseys mark 100 years of what the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) recognizes as “federated football.”
“This shirt honors 100 years of federated football, which is what is being held,” said the FEF’s president during the official unveiling. Fans are buzzing since the official release earlier today.
They have two options to consider. The home kit is deep teal blue, accentuated by a navy collar with a bit of red trim. A subtle embossed pattern stands out under the light, while a special centenary FEF crest with “100” below it sits proudly on the chest. In gold lettering, “marathon” marks the manufacturer, and the neck area features the text “ECUADOR.” A commemorative patch near the hem reads “La Piel de tu País – Centenario,” reinforcing the pride that comes with pulling on these colors.
The away version takes a different approach with its bright yellow base and dark navy shoulder panels. It shares the same collar style, crest, and sponsor placement as the home kit, but its color scheme aligns with a more familiar look for La Tri supporters. Inside the collar, “ECUADOR” is woven in red, while “CENTENARIO” is stitched in gold at the back hem. Traditional patterns woven into the crest add a nod to local heritage.
A single moment, a century of pride
Both jerseys cost about $75 in official brand stores and online. The set is completed by matching shorts and socks that keep each version cohesive. Goalkeepers have a special edition as well, and early images suggest they’ll be sporting designs with the same centenary emblem.
While some fans have debated whether the 100-year mark should be calculated from a slightly different timeline, the FEF is steadfast in its decision to celebrate. Regardless of the discussions, these kits offer players and supporters a sense of unity as the national team heads toward upcoming international fixtures.
