Jurgen Klopp’s future has been a hot topic ever since he stepped away from Liverpool last summer. The former Anfield icon, who collected Premier League and Champions League crowns during nine memorable years, is now Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull. Rumors linking him to Real Madrid refuse to fade, yet his agent insists Klopp is going nowhere.
“Jürgen is very happy with his new role as Head of Global Soccer at Red Bull,” Marc Kosicke told Sky Sports Germany. “He’s fully focused and happy there.”
That hasn’t stopped whispers in Spain. Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti could exit this summer, especially after his side’s Champions League hopes were dashed by Arsenal. Ancelotti has also been linked with the Brazil job. Should he depart, reports place Klopp and Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso high on Real’s wishlist. Alonso made waves in Germany last season, so some at the Bernabéu view him as a natural successor.

So far, though, no formal approach to Klopp has been confirmed. The 57-year-old appears content away from the touchline, even if he had an exit clause allowing him to leave Red Bull for Germany’s national team. Speculation also surfaced about a potential call from Brazil, but that hasn’t come to fruition either.
For now, all signs point to the same conclusion: Klopp has parked any coaching return, no matter how intriguing. He reportedly earns between $13 million and $15 million annually in his Red Bull role. Ancelotti, meanwhile, remains in charge at Madrid, though his future looks uncertain after a season that has tested everyone’s patience at the club.
Madrid’s next steps could shape the managerial landscape for years to come. Klopp may return to the dugout one day, but it seems not before he’s ready to leave his current post behind.
