It all starts at home. And Valencia's home fans were again at their worst when Real Madrid visited over the weekend. A leaked video shows a child calling Vinicius Jr a racist epithet while his mother tries to shush the camera away.
Vinicius, of course, had the last laugh as he spearheaded his team's comeback to get two goals in the draw.
This wasn't the first time Valencia fans have gone after Vini Jr. Last May, four Valencia fans received lifetime bans from the stadium after they hurled racist gestures toward the Brazilian winger.
Why Vini Jr. continues to be a lightning rod for racism in La Liga is mind-boggling. Saturday's latest incident marks more than a dozen times since the last season the Brazilian winger has come under racist calls at a Spanish stadium.
Like mother, like child. La Liga is allegedly investigating Saturday's situation, among others racist chanters in the crowd.
