released its 2024 home and away kit to mixed reviews.

The new , “INSPIRED BY TOMORROW,” certainly offer a new perspective on what future kits could look like. At least someone is trying something new. But the criticism is also welcomed.

To start, introduces its street-style Swoosh encircled by an oval. Below that is the Canada mesh badge, deemed Nike's Liteflex crest release, which allows for a greater breathable material while maintaining a lightweight profile.

But what is throwing many off is how the verticalized logos line up on a conventional red, paired against darker red sleeves. The white stripe on the collar and cuffs perhaps gives a little edge, with the Heritage Canada wordmark spelled out on the inside of the kit. Red shorts and red socks unify the outfit.

“Genuinely what is wrong with Nike? I can't remember the last time they've made decent soccer kits,” wrote one on Reddit

“And I was bummed with the US kits.. At least we didn't get these,” posted another.

The whole kit looks oddly like a confused hockey kit mashed into a Cincinnati Reds jersey. But wait, that could be said even more for the away version.

The Canada 2024 away kit has the Soccer Canada badge and logo elements as the home, with the swoosh inversed. At least the logos run parallel this time rather than stacked.

However, what's most unique about the new jersey are the pinstripes that Nike copped from the Lebron x Liverpool 2023 release. The 13 red stripes encompass the country's ten provinces and three territories. White shorts and white socks complete the look.

The Heritage CANADA logo also lies inside what appears to be a round polar collar stitched in with a V-dollar. Interesting combination, to say the least.

At least Canada's North American counterparts, Mexico and the United States kits, retained a bolder, more balanced style that includes some flair.

Canada plans to sport the new home jersey against Trinidad and Tobago in the Concacaf Nations League on Saturday, March 23, in Frisco, Texas.
