Dortmund have identified Chelsea’s as a replacement if star striker departs, according to Bild.

Werner has failed to impress during his time at Stamford Bridge after a €60M move from last summer.

Perhaps underrated or often overlooked, Werner still managed to notch 12 and 15 assists in 52 appearances last season, capped off by earning a Champions League trophy. But expectations remain high at Chelsea.

Haaland, meanwhile, scored his 21st Champions League goal in just his 17th tournament game yesterday in a group stage victory over Besiktas.

The 21-year-old goal machine has been linked with moves to Europe’s elite clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, and most recently, Real Madrid.

Haaland has an $88.48M guaranteed release clause.
