The new home and away have officially landed in preparation for this summer’s 2024 Copa America.

The tournament hosts mark a fresh aesthetics chapter with the home kit with a much-deserved release. That 2022 World Cup home kit, inspired by NFL-like sleeves, lacked personality and flair. The new 2024 kit screams patriotism.

It may not replicate the famous striped Waldo kit of 2012, which bold horizontal red and white stripes, but it’s still a classy design. Let’s start with the round collar. The jersey adopts a half-and-half Red, White, and Blue stripe design, the colors of the flag which echo down into the cuffs.

The Soccer crest takes its usual placement over the heart, while the Swoosh resides on the opposite side of the chest. The textured fabric on the white colorway gives the kit an extra eye-pop.

Meanwhile, while the new blue away kit is less inspired than the home, is still a much-needed improvement on that blue 2022 tie-die release. First of all, the USA Soccer crest takes a much cleaner placement over the heart (like the home edition) with the adjacent swoosh in white.

From the crew neck down, the same croche pattern encircles the shirt before it meets the fireworks flag stripe represented with a white and red sash, a nod to the 1950s version. The unifying motto “One Nation, One Team” encircles a rosette imprinted on the inner side of the collar.

USMNT fans, what are your thoughts on the new 2024 Copa America kits?
