Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller is back with another cheeky Champions League draw post intended to rile up fans.

In a video posted earlier this morning on X, the German forward tried to virtually elbow his fellow Die Mannschaft compatriot Kai Havartz.

“And it’s Arsenal,” the forward smirked into the camera. “Kai Havertz, my friend, I am waiting for you.”

“It’s a nice draw, two very good teams, two very good cities, two very good stadiums. It will be tough but I’m always positive. See you Gunners!”

“Will be a good game for sure,” Havertz promptly replied.

Muller was part of the Bavarian giant’s side that steamrolled Arsenal 10-2 on aggregate back in the 2016/17 Champions League Round of 16. Bayern also owns the historical record against the Gunners, having won seven of twelve matchups. However, Bayern fans must admit their opponent is up to the task this time around.

“Arsenal is a team that will give us two exciting games. They are currently in a good form and have a good momentum. It will be tough. But with the second leg in Munich we have a good chance of progressing,” Mueller added, in a follow-up video through the Bayern Munich X channel.

The Gunners are indeed in “good form” this season, currently atop the Premier League. Bayern sits in a rare second place in the Bundesliga behind ‘s unconquerable Bayer Leverkusen.

Remember, seven years ago, Muller faced off an Arsene Wenger side that included Shkodran Mustafi, Calum Chambers, Laurent Koscielny, and Per Mertesacker. Now, he’ll line up against the likes of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, , and Jakub Kiwior, a much taller order.

Even more intriguing, is the return of former players Harry Kane and loanee Eric Dier to the North London stage.

“It is, of course, special for me to return to England for a game so quickly after my arrival at FC Bayern – and then to North London of all places,” said Dier on his return to the Emirates. “It is a great opportunity for us to show our quality at the highest level. Arsenal have a young team that is performing very well.”
