Sorry ladies, Erling Haaland is not among football's most eligible bachelors. Like Lionel Messi, the Norwegian goal-machine has fallen in love with his childhood sweetheart, Isabel Haugseng Johansen.
Johansen and Haaland go all the way back to Norway, where both of them played for the youth academy sides at Bryne. Also, close family friends, the relationship set the stage for the romantic partnership they have today.
But it was only when million-dollar Haaland jetted to Germany to suit up for Borussia Dortmund that the two reportedly started dating. That's where Johansen was often seen visiting before following Erling's footballing journey to Manchester City ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The rest, as they say, is history. Haaland won the Treble last season, earning the Premier League Golden Boot and European Golden Shoe individually. Shockingly to some, he finished second in the Ballon d'Or voting to Lionel Messi.
Johansen joined Haaland to celebrate the 2023 Champions League trophy, bursting their romance into the public eye.
Previously, not much was known about Haaland's Norwegian WAG — Johansen refrains from social media use. But the 20-year-old is still kicking it up with her club team back in Norway—the part-time fashion store owner ventures with Haaland on vacations to Marbella, Spain, and Dubai. Additionally, the couple often dine at five-star restaurants in Manchester and have been shopping together in London.
Despite a few games injury, Haaland still leads all scorers in the Premier League this season. He also has Pep's team at the forefront of the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup. Could we see Johansen lift a title with Haaland this season — the odds are certainly in favor.
