Lionel Messi dropped his pre-game playlist on Apple Music ahead of the MLS 24/25 season restart tonight.
Lucky for us, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner gives us a rare peek into his headphones, with the likes of Bad Bunny, J Balvin, U2, Rick Ross, and Barcelona‘s own Rosalia leading the way.
Messi’s playlist ‘The Warm-up’ is a 60-song eclectic banger
The 60-song playlist, dubbed Messi: The Warm-Up, is an eclectic motivational bunch of the music that gets him in the zone. From Latin pop to reggae to hip-hop, Messi personalizes the tunes with the cumbia villera of his native Argentina.
He also sneaks in the age-old stadium stomper “Highway to Hell” from AC/DC.
“For as long as I can remember, music has played an important part in my life, especially on match days. Music quiets my mind, helps me stay calm and relaxed,” said Messi, who’ll also be debuting his new ‘Spark Gen10s‘ Adidas boots at Chase Stadium tonight.
Inter Miami opens up their season against Real Salt Lake at 8 pm tonight on Apple TV.
This is Messi’s pre-game soundtrack. Take a listen and let us know what your favorite artist is.
