is back on the squad for the upcoming games after his Copa America injury. All is perfect timing since the second celebration of Messi Day is just around the corner.

Messi Day is the annual celebration dedicated to Lionel Messi. Adidas launched it last year on October 10 to honor the player’s legacy. Messi has become the modern-day apotheosis of the number 10, also worn by the greats Maradona and Pele.

This year, Adidas wants to elevate the special day even further. After all, the GOAT is the first player in history to win 8 Ballon d’Or trophies and six European Golden Shoes.

The German brand is releasing two new Messi signature boots for the winner: F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ and F50 Bad Bunny.

Messi’s 2024/25 F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ boot

The new Adidas F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ comes wrapped in a clean white canvas, with black three stripes and ‘Unity Purple’ accents sweeping across the sides. The iridescent touch of high-vis yellow on the outsole brings a futuristic vibe, grounding Messi’s celestial playing style.

You may have seen him debut the cleats in Inter Miami’s draw against Charlotte FC on Monday. Messi scored in the 67th.

Adidas F50 2024 ‘Messi x Bad Bunny’ boot

Last May, Puerto Rican reggaeton and trap artist Bad Bunny teased the release of co-branded boots with Messi and Adidas. Those boots are now coming to fruition and take on a rather muted appearance.

The Adidas F50 2024 ‘Messi x Bad Bunny’ boot displays a cardboard gold look combined with minimalist white accents. The unexpected pop of La Albiceleste’s sky blue on the tongue and heel differentiates the boot. Imprinted on the inside is “Messi para bad bunny.”

The bold contrasts mirror the unpredictability of both Messi’s genius on the field and Bad Bunny’s groundbreaking artistry.

Perhaps Messi will feature these in his next Inter Miami game tonight against Columbus.

What are your thoughts on these two new boot releases for Messi Day?
