Neymar is one step closer to joining his friend Lionel Messi in Miami. The Brazilian superstar recently made a notable real estate investment by purchasing a waterfront home plot in Bal Harbour, Miami, for $26 million.
The transaction was conducted through a limited liability company associated with the forward, underscoring his interest in establishing a presence in one of Miami Beach’s most exclusive areas. Neymar has also shown interest in buying a private island, Japao Private Island, 93 miles west of Rio de Janeiro.
Neymar’s investment in Miami has fueled speculation about his potential move to Inter Miami to reunite the MSN band. Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar formed one of football’s most prolific trios during Barcelona’s heyday between 2014 and 2017. Most notably, the three produced 122 goals and 61 assists during Barcelona’s 2014-15 season.
Between 2014 and 2017, they scored a whopping 363 goals for the Catalan giants before Neymar departed for PSG in the summer of 2017.
Neymar is currently plying his trade with Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. However, a year-long recovery from an ACL injury has only permitted him to play a handful of matches. With Al-Hilal unlikely to renew his contract at the end of the season, the Brazilian looks prime for a move stateside.
