designed Neymar’s latest signature boot, the ‘Future Ultimate Instituto,’ with young talents from the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr.

What is Neymar’s ‘Instituto Neymar Jr?’

The Instituto Projeto is a community hub established by the football star to aid disadvantaged youth in his former community, the Praia Grande area near Santos.

Puma collaborated with kids from the institute to graphics inspired by their hero. The German bootmaker instructed the kids to illustrate what “Neymar means to them” specifically. Puma designers took the feedback and blended various graphics they created into the final cleat design.

The Brazilian displayed the signature edition boots for the first time during yesterday’s practice session with the Seleção.

Said Neymar on the Puma website, “The Institute is very special to me.”

“Since its inauguration in 2014, we have been able to support underprivileged children and their families through sports, education, and healthcare. The Instituto is a place where kids can go after school to learn extra skills that will help shape their future. I am very proud of the team behind this amazing place and the impact we have had on the community, reaching over 10 thousand people. Being able to work with some of the kids on a collection was a beautiful moment for me, and I hope to make them proud when I step onto the pitch wearing the boots, they designed for me.”

Naturally, the boots adopt the famous Brazilian green and yellow hues, an extension of the country’s flag. But the vivid colorway does so in a zigzag, whimsical , with the insoles showcasing the names from Neymar’s institute that helped shape the boot. The children’s names also appear on the back design of the Neymar Jr. Instituto Collection t-shirt.

Neymar’s take on Bolivia Friday night in Qualifiers, followed by a match against Peru next Tuesday. He’ll return from international duty to Al Hilal to face Al-Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League on September 15.
