Modern-day right-wingers are renowned for their speed and agility, especially in one-on-one situations. Even the best defenders fear the sight of a Mohamed Salah or more recent attackers, Bukayo Saka and Rodrygo, also chance creator extraordinaires. With some of those players in mind, let's dig deeper into Europe to unearth the top right-wingers in the world this 2023/24 season.

10. Miguel Almiron

Consistently underrated is Miguel Almiron. The Paraguayan right winger joined the Magpies in 2019 from side Atlanta United and has been a wonder. In addition to his goal and assist contributions, arguably better last season (11 strikes, 2 assists), the pacy Almiron works industriously off the ball. Of course, that doesn't mean will retain his services.

Almiron could be one of the hot properties headed to the in this winder transfer window.

9. Cole Palmer

21-year-old Cole Palmer is a versatile player who can play attacking midfielder or winger like Angel Di Maria. But when he's on the right — look out!

The Chelsea Blues attacker already has 9 and 4 assists this 23/24 Premier League season. Palmer is apotheosis of a complete footballer — passing, skill, and creativity to boot. “Cole Palmer is very unique. He's an unbelievable player and still young,” said former Blue William Gallas.

8. Dejan Kulusevski

The talented Swede's early Tottenham career went on overdrive as he recorded five goals and notched eight assists in his first 18 matches for the North London club. Two seasons later, the right winger has continued his prolific output.

Kulusevski leads the Premier League this season with the most chances created from open play with 41, 3 more than Mo Salah.

7.

While Serge Gnabry is often deployed in various attacking roles, one of his superior jobs is the right winger position. Of course, the German's only goal this season came in the Champions League, but we are pipping him for a solid second half of the season. After all, he scored 17 goals and notched 12 assists in all competitions last season.

Could he eclipse the greatness of right-winger Arjen Robben? Probably not — those are some high standards — but Gnabry could see a prime goal scoring revival as he's evinced in years past.

6. Lamine Yamal

Is he even old enough to be considered a starlet? He seems to get better every week. 16-year-old Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal is proving himself to be a viable alternative to Raphinha when the Brazilian is out on injuries. Given the increased playing time, La Masia graduate is likely to finish this 23/24 term with double digit goals and assists.

But longevity will be key for Yamal, something coach Xavi is keenly aware of and will do his best to manage. Yamal can only get better!

5. Raphinha

Barcelona right winger Raphinha may not be on good terms with Barcelona fans at the moment, given his latest string of performances. He's also been nagged by injuries while teenager Yamal has more than sufficiently stepped in his place. But Raphina is still a huge contributor, bagging three goals and providing 5 assists in 15 matches this term.

4. Ousmane Dembele

If anyone knows how to create goals, it's 26-year-old Ousmane Dembele. The Frenchman has been involved in the most goals (13) in Europe's top five leagues this season. He's snatched 7 assists so far in 23/24, with the limited amount of goals (1) being his Achilles heel.

Do you think Barca fans miss this guy? The emergence of Lamine might change a few minds.

3. Rodrygo

Did you say overhyped? No, thanks. Real Madrid's Rodrygo is coming about this season for Los Blancos, finally getting the most deserved starting spot under boss Carlo Ancelotti.

So far, the 23-year-old has 12 goals and 7 assists this season. On the other wing, his partner in crime, Vini Jr., is also having a standout campaign.

2. Bukayo Saka

9 goals and 12 assists so far this term, and they say he's having a bad season. Expectations are still high for 22-year-old Gunner Bukayo Saka, who's probably a bit burned out until Arteta can get him some rest. Saka is also the most fouled Gunner, incurring 57 in all competitions this season, 26 more than Kai Havertz in second.

Can Saka help drive Arsenal to the top of the Premier League? The Gunners currently sit 4th in the table. Starboy Saka's performances will certainly have a say.

1. Mohamed Salah

Sorry, he's not English. Egyptian King Mohamed Salah has become one of the best wingers in Premier League history. He's only the third EPL player in history to record 20+ contributions in seven consecutive seasons.

And this 2023/24 season, he's proving once again his extraordinary ability to razzle dazzle on the pitch, leaving defenders in the dust. He scored 18 goals and provided 9 assists just before leaving for AFCON. Immense.
