Eight teams have already qualified for Euro 2024 in Germany. Heavyweights Germany (qualified as host in Group A), France, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain are in, with minnows Scotland, Turkey, and Austria. 13 more teams will wrap up qualification by the end of the qualifying stage in November. With Euro 2024 qualifying ending next month, let’s look at when the Euro 2024 group stage draw takes place.
When and where is the Euro 2024 group stage draw?
The Euro 2024 group stage draw will occur on December 2 in Hamburg, Germany, at the Elbe Philharmonic Hall. The event’s live broadcast starts at 5 pm GMT, noon on the East Coast of the USA, on UEFA’s YouTube channel. You can also stream it live on the UEFA website or official app.
Which teams have already qualified for Euro 2024?
There are a total of 24 teams divided into six groups of four. But only 21 of those teams will be finalized at the Dec 2 draw — the remaining three winning teams get decided in a playoff round next March as per the 22/23 Nations League rankings.
As previously mentioned, seven teams have already RSVP’d for the Euro 2024 tournament. Those include Germany (automatic qualification as hosts), Steve Clarke’s Scotland side, Spain, France, Belgium, and Turkey. Portugal steamrolled through the competition and reserved their place in Pot 1.
England qualify on Tuesday if they at least draw Italy at Wembley tonight. Italy won Euro 2020, defeating England on penalties. Oddly enough, Italy failed to qualify for the 2024 World Cup Qatar.
Thirteen additional teams will appear in the final draw at the end of Euro 2024 qualifying in November with the three remaining teams decided by March 2024 playoffs.
