Copa America 24: Group stage matchups

In Group A are the reigning Copa America champions, Argentina. And we expect them to roll through their group as led by the one and only Lionel Messi. 19-year-old Manchester United sensation Garnacho will also add fresh firepower and flair to the Albiceleste. But the knockout stages could prove challenging. Brazil will be seeking revenge against Argentina in the semis or finals.

Group A:

Argentina

Peru

Chile

Canada

El Tri headlines Copa America Group B. One might think Mexico won't make it out of the group stage after last night's poor performance against the USMNT in the Concacaf Nations League final, but don't bet on it—Mexico kicks off against Ecuador on June 30 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, California. Mexico is the most successful non-CONMEBOL team at Copa America with two runners-up and three third-place finishes.

Mexico

Ecuador

Venezuela

Jamaica

The United States clinched their Nations League Three-Peat with a triumph over Mexico last night. But this summer will be the USMNT's biggest test, as it will be for head coach Gregg Berhalter. Avoiding elimination in the group stages should provide healthy job security going into 2026.

Group C:

United States

Panama

Bolivia

Group D is arguably the Group of Death. Brazil is Brazil, seeking vengeance against Argentina for their last tournament final loss at home. Meanwhile, James Rodriguez looks to repeat his 2014 World Cup heroics and inspire to another run. looks to inspire Los Ticos in his one last dance. But on their day, 's rising stars could be the ones to upset the party.
