Italy’s national team, in collaboration with Adidas, has launched a new kit to commemorate their 125th anniversary under the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio, or FIGC.
The committee’s roots trace back to its former name, Federazione Italiana Football, which launched the beautiful game in Italy.
The team’s first all-white uniform, which debuted in the nation’s first match in 1910 against France, inspired the new design for the special edition kit.
Italy adopted the iconic Azzuri blue a year later.

The 125th-anniversary kit combines the traditional white-crew neck and loose-fitting jerseys with the latest Adidas technology. The all-white jersey adopts some dazzling gold details, especially on the crest.
A gold wreath outlines the Italy badge, while four stars indicate the team’s four historic World Cup titles. Stitched in gold lettering is a commemorative anniversary label that reads “125th anniversary 1898-2023.”
The shorts also come white with three gold stripes on the side to match the shirt’s shoulders, and the socks are black with gold stripes and lettering. Also included in the special edition jersey is a postcard showing the Italian national team on its debut over a century ago.
But good luck getting your hands on the new kit, as 2,023 pieces are available as of June 14 on Adidas.com and the FIGC website.
Meanwhile, the”Azzurri” are set to showcase the kit in their UEFA Nations League Finals match against Spain on Thursday, June 15, 2023.
