FC Barcelona's partnership with Spotify will feature the logo of Colombian reggaeton and trap artist Karol G on the team's shirt in the next Clasico. The La Liga giants clash for the 256th time on April 21 at the legendary .

The one-off kit sees the singer's “Bichota” tattoo emblazoned on the front of the iconic Blaugrana stripes. The thorn-hugged heart, which Karol G proudly sports on her left arm, symbolizes the musician's persistence after intense body scrutiny and shifts in her close relationships during the COVID-19 pandemic. The emblem could also serve as Barcelona's late-season muse.

Xavi's fearless youngsters are finding their form at an ideal time. The Catalans reached the Champions League quarter-finals after Tuesday's victory over Napoli. They also sit 3rd in La Liga, nine points behind their Madrid rivals. By the time Barca suits up in the Karol G kit against Los Blancos next month, they'll be hoping to reduce the gap by taking all three points.

The limited edition Barcelona jersey featuring Karol G's logo will go on sale at Barca's official store in the coming weeks ahead of .

What is the partnership between Barcelona and Spotify?

This is the fourth time FC Barcelona has donned a musician-based logo in the past two seasons. The alternate kit stems from a €280 million, four-year sponsorship between the Blaugrana and the streaming giant. This partnership, struck in March 2022, also encompassed stadium naming rights, leading to the renaming of to Spotify Camp Nou.

The Blaugrana kicked off its partnership with Spotify by using Canadian rapper Drake's logo for the first El Clasico last season. Since then, Catalonia-based artist Rosalia and the iconic Rolling Stones “Tongue and Lips Design” have appeared on their shirts.

Last season, Barcelona considered pop luminary Shakira to grace the shirt for El Clasico. But her split from then-player and cheat Gerard Pique torpedoed the sponsorship. Remember that Barcelona could still face off in a Champions League El Clasico this season if they wanted to re-up Shakira's revenge.
