Good news for Messi fans. While the GOAT may be sitting out Friday’s Argentina friendly against El Salvador, you can still snag his latest sportswear threads.
Adidas has released a collection of new items just in time for the international break and Copa America this summer.
New items include a “Pitch 2 Street Messi” blue training jacket and pants that incorporate elements of Messi’s first Argentina World Cup kit. He made his World Cup debut for Argentina in the blue away kit in June 2006. A Messi logo, stylized M, lands over the heart.
Additional pieces include a training jersey with the iconic Argentina blue strip running vertically down the shirt and the Messi icon centered. Yellow stripes flank the shoulders, with one continuing down the underarms.
The set also includes a traditional white training top featuring the Adidas trefoil. The Messi logo is invisible from the front, but we think it could be on the back of the inner neck.
To complete the set are the previously released Messi Samba shoes which retail for $100. The vivid blue tints with gold on the back heel scream World Cup Champion. His logo sits on the tongue with his name replacing the SAMBA side-print logo.
