One of the best players in the world for his diligence and finishing ability, Antoine Griezmann is also known for his hairstyles on the pitch.
His dyed bleach blonde undercut, ‘Griezmannia,’ became all the rage during the 2015 season at Atletico Madrid, where he’s now returned on loan. Atletico fans are ecstatic about the Frenchman’s new trim as he returns to the red and white stripes.
Let’s take a look at some of the best Griezmann haircuts to date.
Green buzz with pink heart
When in doubt, green it out. Antoine Griezmann dyed his hair green early in the 22/23 La Liga season. He topped off the joker-inspired haircut with a pink heart on the back left of his head. Let’s see if the new style is enough to galvanize his season.

Frizz and trim
He’s back! After two long-haired seasons with Barcelona, Griezmann returned to the Wanda Metropolitano in September with a short trim, reminiscent of his first days at Atletico. While the new hairdo doesn’t have any coloring (yet), the top is frizzy, and the sides are shaved.
Atletico fans are already getting giddy about their chances at repeating as La Liga champs this season.

High Taper Fade
A footballer of many exploratory hairstyles, the Frenchman’s blonde-infused fresh cut in 2016 was on point. The myth, however, is that he plays better with a classic cut.
Buzz Cut
Opting for simplicity, Griezmann sported one of the more traditional haircuts one can get: the buzzcut. And it paid off, as his team Atletico Madrid rolled over Arsenal in the Europa League semifinals all the way to a finals trophy.
Taper Fade
Going for low maintenance, Griezmann donned the traditional taper fade hairstyle in the 2016 Euros. Unfortunately, the haircut failed to bring him any luck — Portugal defeated France one-nil in the finals.
Alice band
Any time Griezmann grows his hair out, he snags an Alice band to keep it nice and tidy. It’s hard to score with shaggy hair in your face.
‘Griezmannia’
Dyed beach blonde and undercut, the hairdo known as ‘Griezmannia’ swept through the capital of Madrid in 2015 with many copycats. The barbers probably hadn’t been asked to do anything that innovative since Becks.
Mohawk
During his time as a youth with Real Sociedad, the French starlet went straight for the Mohawk. The radical style must have worked out well as he signed for Atletico Madrid just a few years later for a €30 million transfer fee.
The Frizz
Griezmann started the 2018/19 La Liga season with a more frizzy look in another attempt to keep it simple. So far, so good. Atletico is just a few points behind Barcelona in December.
Half Ponytail/Man-Bun
There are countless ways to wear long hair but instead of opting for the Alice band, Griezmann decided to mix it up and wear his streaks in a Gareth Bale-inspired ponytail. Some may even call it a man-bun.
Comb Over/Short Sides
Going for the more classic footballer cut of short sides and combed over top, Griezmann styled here in one of the fresher cuts in world football.
Blue hairdo
With some free time on his hands in the summer of 2017, Griezmann decided to pull a Justin Bieber with the lopsided hairstyle dosed with a streak of blue. Even Neymar had a laugh.
The Grunge Look
This hairdo makes the list because it’s quite simply the best-worst. Griezmann went for the mid-90s grunge look in the summer of 2017, tidy and messy with some blonde dye to cap off the sides.
Hair braids
Griezmann turned up against Real Sociedad during the 2020/21 La Liga season with hair braids.
While some on social media called the new do “gorgeous,” others seemed to think that the Frenchman hit rock bottom. Griezmann missed a sitter in the second half but Barcelona won the match 2-1.
