One of the world’s most successful clubs, Real Madrid, hosts some of the finest football passers. You’d think Los Blancos’s legendary would dominate the list, but many of Real Madrid’s goal machines appear at the top. Let’s review Real Madrid’s top 10 assist leaders of all time.

Caveat: No, this is one Real Madrid list Jude Bellingham still needs to appear on, even though the visionary Zidane fails to break into the top 10.

10. Mesut Ozil – 80 assists

With so-called avatar eyes, the German midfielder Mesut Ozil made life easier for Real Madrid’s frontman. Even Ronaldo rued Ozil’s departure to the Gunners after three years at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Of Ozil’s 80 assists with Real Madrid, the playmaker created at least 31 strikes for Ronaldo. “It was easy to play with him because you didn’t need to create a lot of chances even if I just gave him two passes he’d score two goals,” said Ozil.

9. Angel Di Maria – 85 assists

Argentine winger Angel Di Maria is among the Champions League’s best creators. Seriously, he ranks just second behind Messi in UCL assists with 36. Not surprisingly, most of these dishes came from his time at Real Madrid, where he won the 2013-14 Champions League with Carlo Ancelotti.

8. Guti – 93 assists

One of Real Madrid’s best-ever creative midfielders, the Spaniard Guti recorded 93 assists during his 15-season tenure with Real Madrid. He recorded over 500 caps for Los Blancos and for good reason: “It was more important for me to play 30 minutes at Real Madrid than to play 90 minutes at another club,” said Guti.

7. Luis Figo – 93 assists

Luis Figo split his 10-year career in La Liga between rival clubs Barcelona and Real Madrid. But at Real Madrid, the Portuguese sensation Luis Figo still managed to snatch 93 assists. He was rewarded with the Whites, securing the 2001/02 Champions League title.

6. – 94 assists

Who else? Toni Kroos is the only player on the existing 2023/24 squad in the top ten on this list. The Real Madrid midfielder has played over 460 matches for Los Blancos and registered 98 assists.

Once La Liga’s top assist provider in 2016, the German has won the Champions League four times and closing in on his fifth.

5. Roberto Carlos – 99 assists

The Brazilian left-back Roberto Carlos was a prolific contributor during his 527 matches with Real Madrid. Even as a defender, he delivered the finest passes to his attackers. Carlos dished 99 assists during his tenure with Los Blancos, playing a vital role in the club’s success during the early 2000s. His vision and passing accuracy constantly threatened the opposition, not to mention his set-piece mastery

4. Marcelo – 103 assists

Marcelo, the successor to Roberto Carlos at left-back, won it all during his epic 15-year stint with Real Madrid. The five-time Champions League winner notched 103 assists (thanks to Ronaldo on the left wing) while scoring 26 times. He was also a respected leader on and off the pitch, making him one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

3. – 116 assists

Raul is one of the greatest players in Real Madrid’s history, and he was also a prolific assist provider for his teammates. The Spanish striker recorded 116 assists during his 16 seasons in Los Blancos, an impressive feat. Raul’s vision and passing ability were unmatched, and he helped Real Madrid win six La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies.

2. — 132 assists

Real Madrid owes much of its recent success to Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the best football players in history. The Portuguese superstar recorded 132 assists during his nine seasons at the club, which is remarkable considering he was primarily a goalscorer. He’s also first at the club with an impressive 450 goals.

Ronaldo’s speed, technique, and accuracy made him a nightmare for defenders. His significant impact helped Real Madrid win four Champions League titles and two La Liga titles.

1. Karim Benzema – 165 assists

2022 winner Karim Benzema is the undisputed king of assists at Real Madrid. The French striker has recorded 165 assists during his 13 seasons at the club, ranking him the team’s top assist leader.

Benzema’s vision, passing ability, and goalscoring instincts—second all-time with 324 strikes in white—make him a complete striker. He helped Real Madrid win five Champions League and four La Liga titles.
